To create an area that would be safe for the children to flow freely from inside to outside.
The new design needs to to address the problem of a large trip hazard and generally uneven soil, we would like seating, a sand pit, a stage or performing area and a large digging area.
After a comprehensive site survey to assess the levels we re-graded the area to remove the large trip hazard.
The next stage was to install artificial grass to the entire area and a large digging area was created for a mud kitchen. Other equipment included a tree seat, sliding lid sand pit, bench seats, timber fencing with gates and a large bespoke stage around a tree. The end result was a safer area were the children could move freely and allowed a more flexible and open-ended use of the outside area.

Working with Eaton Primary has been a pleasure, since our initial contract with the school (above) we have completed several other projects including the re landscaping a dipping pond area to incorporate a wheelchair accessible path and seating, installing artificial grass and a timber play wall under a canopy in the early years area.
