To improve an existing playground with special emphasis on two age groups.
Social and role play equipment for the 2 to 5 years old and more dynamic and exiting playground equipment for the 8 to 13 years olds.

This was no exception with a radical change in the brief to include social and role play themes equipment for under 5s as well as adventurous equipment for the older children.
The playground already had a metal multi-play tower and a couple of swings – we placed an emphasis on attractive mostly timber playground equipment to make the play area more natural as well as provide play equipment across the full age range.
The adventure trail and snake swing have been particularly well received as the “balance challenge” seems to cut across the complete age range.
As ever the forest stack climbing frame is very popular.

I just wanted to say that the Nayland Playground is looking great. I have had many comments from people saying how much the children are enjoying the new equipment and how impressed they are by the range of equipment installed. There are certainly many more people using and enjoying the playground now so that is our main aim achieved.
