Transform the worn and shaded grass areas and create an exciting play area that the children would love.
Design an exiting play area for the children based around what they wanted. The children challenged us to create a play area with a nautical theme that would also serve as an outdoor learning area.
After consulting the children and staff, we came up with the Raleigh play ship, a bespoke piece of playground equipment that met their requirement for a nautical theme as well as providing an outdoor learning environment.
As we design & manufacture our playground equipment, we were able to adapt existing playground equipment to create the Raleigh Play Ship. The Play Ship incorporates a scramble net, pull up ramp with climbing holds, tunnel, slide, steps with hand rails and enough seating inside to hold an outdoor classroom.
Also included in the whole project was an Adventure trail, multi use Timber sports wall and Play panels, all topped off with synthetic grass supplied by Norse.

We love the challenge of creating bespoke playground equipment – whether it is adapting existing equipment to safely fit an awkward space, creating new themed playground equipment like the play ship featured in this case study or creating equipment that is wheelchair accessible.
