Our Street Workout & Callisthenics equipment makes fitness training effective and fun. People who try this Callisthenics equipment are usually amazed at how many great exercises you can do, from very easy workouts to extremely strenuous advanced ones. The equipment is designed for people over 13 years old.
Street Workout is all about using the principles of callisthenics for exercise and combine the benefits of being outside with exercises that have been developed over thousands of years. Far cheaper and more inclusive than outdoor gym machines, our Street Workout Sets make a great addition to an open space, a park, workplace or better still next to a playground.
Callisthenics are exercises based around using your bodyweight. So exercises like press ups, squat thrusts, burpees etc are all good callisthenics exercises. Our Street Workout range is designed to extend these basic exercises so they are great for the super-fit as well as for novices.
Callisthenics exercises are truly ancient with a history back to the Romans and the Greeks (though they did not have double powder coated galvanised steel).
We have found people exercising together outside is more motivating and more fun than exercising alone inside. What’s more these well made Street Workout units are fantastic value for money.
We also advise having some additional space around the equipment for ground based activities like sit ups, skipping, stepping boxes etc.
Making Callisthenics or Street Workout exercises harder is very easy. For example, you can try using a weight belt whilst you exercise. As these exercises use your bodyweight to create resistance, adding a weight vest makes them harder. You can also do many of the exercises with one arm.
If doing hundreds of pull ups is too easy for you, then why not try “Frenchie Pullups”, “Front levers”, “Back levers” or use the gymnast rings.
We are confident that even the very fittest people can easily extend the basic Street Workout exercises for a really good fitness workout.
The easiest way to reduce the difficulty of the base exercises is to use an element of foot assistance. For example, do your Chin Up exercises whilst using the poles or vertical ladders with your feet to remove some weight.
Another easy way to reduce difficulty is to use “Exercise Bands”. By using large Exercise bands looped round the poles, you can place your feet in the bands, thereby reducing your bodyweight and make the exercises easier.
There are also loads of exercises that can be done to help prepare you for exercises that are too hard for you.
