West Wratting – Playground Installation
Action Play & Leisure design, manufacture and install playground equipment for schools, nurseries, public or community play areas & adventure playgrounds.
This community installation was done at West Wratting, Cambridge, UK.

Some of the features of this playground
- Remove the old playground equipment together with the old worn out rubber tile surfacing and fencing.
- A zip wire and basket swing were installed outside the new fenced area for the slightly older children
- The new playground area had to levelled for new play bark together with tiger mulch (around the diamond cone climber to ensure that the surface was safe)
- The Litcham 13 Multiplay Unit was selected as it has an amazing number of play features in a small area. It is also very good at catering for children across a wide age range. (This feature is often very important for parish councils in rural areas where is often a challenging budget for a wide age range of children)
- Play bark was selected for most of the playground as it is a cost effective. and environmentally friendly option.
- Tiger Mulch (bound rubber mulch) was used where a critical fall height was required (e.g. around the diamond cone climber)
The total build time was approximately 5 weeks
